Role Overview
This Senior AV Installation Technician will focus on executing and finalizing mid-to-large scale integration projects. You'll operate with a high degree of independence, ideally able to close out jobs including programming, but what's most important is a strong technical base paired with a growth mindset. The company is looking to invest in the right personality—confidence, humility, and team focus are a must.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead production installations including wiring, rack building, device setup, and final trim-out.
- Commission systems with control interfaces such as Control4 and/or Savant.
- Collaborate with the project manager and client stakeholders to ensure smooth, timely delivery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex AV and networking issues in the field.
- Serve as a team mentor (informally to start) with the potential to grow into a leadership role.
Qualifications
- Experience in AV or home automation installation.
- Proficiency with at least one control platform (e.g., Control4 or Savant); programming ability is highly preferred.
- Ability to operate independently and drive a project to completion.
- Humble, confident personality; a willingness to pull cable or jump in wherever needed.
- Valid driver’s license and a dependable, punctual work ethic.
Nice to Have Qualifications
- Certifications in Control4, Ubiquiti Unifi, Crestron, or Lutron (not required but highly valued)
- Experience working in a collaborative, team oriented environment
- Ability to coach and mentor junior technicians, contributing to the overall success of the service team
Compensation:
- $40-$50/hr Depending on experience
