Job Overview

This is a newly defined CAD Engineer position designed to support a national portfolio of projects. Ideal for someone with 3–5 years of real-world CAD/Bluebeam experience, especially in architectural, interior design, or integration environments. You’ll work closely with the leadership team to interpret architectural drawings, create project layouts, and support project readiness from behind the scenes—plus contribute to documentation, notes, and light project management prep.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review architectural blueprints, including RCPs and window schedules, to prepare accurate takeoffs and layouts for lighting and shading control systems.
  • Create and maintain CAD and Bluebeam drawings for national luxury residential and hospitality projects.
  • Participate in project planning and scheduling, helping translate complex drawings into clear deliverables.
  • Support project scoping by assembling spreadsheets and materials lists for Lutron or motorized shading proposals.
  • Attend virtual team and client meetings, capturing notes and contributing to technical discussions as needed.
  • Assist in project documentation upkeep when architects or designers release updated plans.
  • Travel approximately once per month for team meetings or on-site verifications.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of CAD and/or Bluebeam experience, ideally in architectural or design-focused environments.
  • Comfortable interpreting complex construction drawings, including lighting, RCPs, and shading schedules.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies (e.g., Lutron lighting/shading systems) and expand responsibilities over time.
  • Experience with project takeoffs, specification prep, or proposal documentation is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Must live near a major U.S. airport for occasional travel to client sites or company headquarters.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a remote, fast-paced, high-accountability environment.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $70,000 - $100,000 DOE
  • Travel Covered: Company credit card provided for flights, lodging, and per diem
  • Benefits Package: Health, dental, vision insurance; 401(k) with profit-sharing; PTO and holidays
  • Job Type: Full-time, remote with travel (~25%)
