Job Overview

We're seeking a motivated AV Technician with a preference for candidates experienced in commercial AV environments. This role involves hands-on work installing, configuring, and supporting AV systems across educational and business facilities. While 90% of the work is commercial, candidates should be comfortable contributing to residential jobs when needed. The right individual has an eye for detail, can read technical drawings, and isn't afraid of heights or conduit.

Responsibilities

  • Perform commercial AV system installations including rack building, rigging, conduit, cable pulling, and termination
  • Install and configure Extron, BiAmp, and similar systems (QSC/Q-SYS experience a plus)
  • Work on lifts, ladders, and occasionally in confined spaces to complete AV infrastructure
  • Collaborate with the team to interpret wiring diagrams, scopes, and build documentation
  • Occasionally support residential integration projects
  • Maintain a clean, organized job site and deliver work aligned with client expectations and industry standards

Qualifications

  • Experience in AV, electrical, live event rigging, or related field
  • Familiarity with Extron, BiAmp, Q-SYS, or Crestron systems (any one is acceptable)
  • Understanding of rack builds, cable management, and AV troubleshooting
  • Ability to work at heights and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Experience working with conduit and basic power tools
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license

Compensation

$20 – $40/hour based on experience and skill level
