Job Overview

The Bookkeeper will serve a foundational role in maintaining the company’s financial records and supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of the business. This role is ideal for someone early in their career with solid QuickBooks knowledge and a passion for accuracy, organization, and learning. You’ll report directly to a financial leader and work closely with the senior accountant, gaining exposure to both traditional accounting functions and how finances connect to broader business operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily bookkeeping functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and data entry
  • Maintain and organize records in QuickBooks (migrating to QuickBooks Online)
  • Assist with monthly financial reporting including income statements and cash flow summaries
  • Support the reconciliation of bank and credit card statements
  • Collaborate with internal team members to ensure timely and accurate financial data entry
  • Help track project-based financial data, including progress invoicing and job costing
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and identify opportunities for efficiency
  • Provide support during QuickBooks + DTools Cloud integration process
  • Stay engaged and curious about the broader business, understanding how financial decisions affect operations
     

Qualifications

  • 2–7 years of practical bookkeeping experience; project-based industry experience (e.g., construction, integration, AV) is preferred
  • Hands-on QuickBooks experience required (desktop or online; willingness to adapt to cloud-based version)
  • Familiarity with project-related accounting processes (e.g., progress invoicing) is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and adapt to evolving company needs
  • No formal degree required—real-world experience and motivation are highly valued
