Job Overview

As a Senior AV Technician, you'll lead the installation and configuration of high-end smart home and commercial AV systems. You'll take ownership of project execution, ensuring each job meets rigorous quality standards and client expectations. This role involves hands-on installation work and collaboration with project managers, clients, and vendors to deliver sophisticated integrated solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead AV system installations including multi-room audio, video distribution, lighting control, surveillance, and home automation systems.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to execute installations accurately.
  • Mentor and support junior technicians, fostering their development and maintaining high-quality workmanship.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and provide ongoing support to clients.
  • Collaborate with project managers and designers to refine system plans and timelines.
  • Ensure installations are completed on schedule and to specification, maintaining a clean and professional work environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in AV installation, preferably in residential smart home integration.
  • Proficiency with wiring, rack building, and configuration of AV systems and networks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lead teams and manage installation timelines effectively.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.

Compensation

$38–$48 per hour, based on experience and certifications Leadership bonuses and advancement opportunities available
