Job Overview

We are looking for a Level 2 Technician to join a skilled and driven team focused on residential AV integration. This role involves hands-on installation, support, and maintenance of advanced home automation systems. The right candidate is a tech-savvy problem-solver, highly adaptable, and eager to grow within a company that rewards initiative and craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

  • Install and service structured cabling, AV systems, lighting controls (Lutron), and home automation platforms (e.g., Control4).
  • Terminate and test cables, build racks, and assist in job site commissioning.
  • Troubleshoot and debug installations with precision and professionalism.
  • Collaborate with team members and leadership on best practices and custom solutions.
  • Travel regionally as needed for projects and trade events like CEDIA.
  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism and appearance on job sites.
  • Support custom software integrations and driver development (training provided).
  • Uphold confidentiality standards and sign NDAs as required.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in AV installation or cable termination (Tech 2 level or highly coachable Tech 1).
  • Ability to travel up to 50% depending on project demands.
  • Strong communication skills and client-facing demeanor.
  • High technical aptitude and willingness to learn new systems.
  • Clean and professional appearance—collared shirt culture, no exceptions.
  • Must be adaptable, proactive, and resilient with a thick skin for a direct team culture.
  • Preferred: Experience with Lutron, Control4, or other major residential AV platforms.
  • Willingness to sign an NDA and maintain project confidentiality.

Compensation

$25-$45 hr depending on experience
