Job Overview

We are looking for a Lead AV Technician with strong hands-on experience in AV installations, including pre-wiring, rack building, system troubleshooting, and programming. The ideal candidate is solutions-oriented, takes pride in their work, and thrives in a collaborative yet independent environment. Wire management, attention to detail, and programming skills are key for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and configure AV systems, including pre-wiring, rack-building, and final system commissioning.
  • Program automation systems (Control4, Lutron, or similar platforms) to optimize system performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently and proactively.
  • Maintain strong wire management and organization in all projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and technicians to ensure seamless execution.
  • Operate efficiently in high-end residential environments, respecting clients’ homes and property.
  • Stay up to date with industry best practices and new technologies.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in AV integration or a related field.
  • Proficiency in pre-wiring, rack building, system troubleshooting, and programming.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
  • High standards for wire management and system organization.
  • Experience with Control4, Lutron, or similar automation platforms preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and professionalism in client interactions.
  • Must be comfortable with physical demands, including lifting equipment and working in varied environments.

  • Hourly Rate: $33 - $45 per hour (based on experience) + Overtime.
